Ascension: Classic Yes is a five man musical unit that recreates and captures the spirit, sound and innovation that is the live YES experience.

The band plays selections from the Classic Yes period of 1971 - 1980. Songs from albums such as Fragile, Close to the Edge, Drama, Tales From Topographic Oceans are performed with the same passion and energy as that of YES at the height of their power in the 1970s. The band also throws in some forgotten classics from Yes' earlier records: "Yes" and "Time and a Word" for a good measure.

While the attention to detail lies heavily in the music; it is also focused on the use of visual presentation and vintage/replica instruments & stage equipments. With the majestic tribute video intro of Stravinsky's "Firebird Suite" to the vintage stage clothes and the use of Gibson ES-175, Moog synthesisers, Rickenbacker bass and Ludwig drums; Ascension takes you back to YESTERDAYS as close to the real deal as possible!!
